Pay-Per-Click (PPC) marketing through Google AdWords allows your organisation to reach more customers with local, national, and global keyword marketing campaigns. InForm Web Design will setup, manage, and report on your Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Google AdWords Campaign. Our results will allow you to know instantly your ROI.
The challenge most businesses face when approaching PPC is to know how much to budget and what AdWords keyword phrases will bring the best returns. InForm will work with you to gain an understanding of your business, including your market and competitors. This will enable us to create a tailor made Google AdWords campaign to deliver optimised results unique to your requirements.
When defining your keyword phrases and generating your ads we’ll also pay close attention to the benefits of regional ads. For example, we target ‘PPC Lancashire Google AdWords’ because this gives us a greater ROI than a national based campaign. Although our clients are based throughout the UK, competition for keywords means we get a greater AdWords ROI using more tightly focused keyword phrases and ad placements.
The objective is to convert visitors that arrive at your site from a pay-per-click campaign into some form of contact or online purchase. The true cost of Google AdWords can only be measured in terms of the overall conversion rate.
The Click Through Rate (CTR), which is often quoted as key measurement, is the ratio of the number of clicks on an advertisement to the number of times that the advertisement is displayed. It is a measure of the combined performance of the keywords and their associated advertisement.
For example, you could be using a very generic keyword, such as “laptop bags” and a very generic advertisement, which says little more than “buy laptop bags online”. This will yield a very high click through rate. However, if your main product is an Italian Leather Tablet Bag, then the cost of the clicks will be wasted, because a high proportion of your website visitors will have no interest in this type of laptop bag.
Any visitor that clicks on this advertisement only to find that the laptop bags being offered are of no interest to them will leave the website immediately. The percentage of visitors who arrive on a website page and then leave immediately is known as the bounce rate. The Bounce Rate in AdWords terms measures wasted Click Through – hence the Bounce Rate is just as important as the click through rate.
Even a low bounce rate can be misleading. If the page on which the visitor lands has a very generic content, or even worse is the home page, then the visitor is forced to click through to other pages to find what they looking for. In these circumstances, the landing page will have a low bounce, even though the type of products being offered for sale, laptop bags in this example, are of no interest to the visitor.
If you’re stuck in the 2-5% conversion rate bracket then it’s time to talk to us and how we can help your AdWords Campaign.
